If you want your domain to use GARMTECH DNS and point to your GARMTECH hosting services, you can change the domain’s nameservers to GARMTECH nameservers.
When should I change nameservers?
- Recommended: change nameservers to GARMTECH if you want to manage DNS records in Plesk (the easiest option for most websites and email).
- Do not change nameservers if you intentionally use another DNS provider (for example, Cloudflare). In that case, keep your current nameservers and only update the required DNS records (A/CNAME/MX/TXT) there.

- Log in to the website where your domain is registered (your registrar).
- Open the domain management page and find the section called Nameservers or DNS servers.
- Select Custom nameservers (sometimes called Use custom DNS).
- Replace existing nameservers with:
ns1.garmtech.comns2.garmtech.comns3.garmtech.com - Save the changes.
Wait for DNS propagation
Nameserver changes are not instant. In many cases the update is visible quickly, but globally it can take up to 24–48 hours because DNS resolvers cache previous values.
How to confirm that the nameservers are updated
Check the domain’s NS records using an online DNS checker (choose record type NS).
Or use a command line tool:
dig NS yourdomain.comnslookup -type=ns yourdomain.comAfter propagation
- If you purchased hosting at GARMTECH, you can now add the domain in Plesk (if it is not added yet): Websites & Domains → Add Domain.
- If you use the domain for email, make sure your DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) are configured correctly in Plesk DNS settings.
Common issues
- DNSSEC enabled: if your registrar has DNSSEC enabled, DS records must match the active nameservers. After switching nameservers, update DS records in your registrar or disable DNSSEC temporarily to prevent DNS resolution errors.
- Website still opens old content: clear your browser cache and wait for DNS propagation to complete.
